Academic Background

Aveed is a lecturer and research associate at the department of Business Decisions and Analytics in the University of Vienna. He obtained his PhD in Management from the University of Vienna with a focus on A Stakeholder Theory Perspective on Multilateral Relationships in Franchising Networks. He teaches corporate social responsibility, organization of firms, and international market entry modes at the department of Business Decisions and Analytics (here). This year, he attends the University of Economics in Prague as a guest lecturer under the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS). Aveed has already presented several papers in international conferences such as Society for Institutional and Organizational Economics (SIOE) and International Society of Franchising (ISoF) in which he won the best paper award in 2018. He is an ad hoc reviewer for Journal of Industrial Marketing Management, Society and Business Review and Journal of Organizational Change Management. Aveed already has published articles in Managerial and Decision Economics and Journal of Strategic Marketing.

Research Interests

His main research interests are corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate social performance, stakeholder theory with a focus on strategic stakeholder engagement and joint value creation, governance and organizational structure of entrepreneurial networks and family firms as well as quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

• The Strategic Component of CSR - A Case Study Analysis of Austrian Companies.

• The effect of CSR initiatives on Franchising Outcomes.
